Effiloché* is about fibre and creativity. It’s a place of gathering, experimentation and sharing.

Effiloché opened in Fall of 2006 with the hope of offering Montrealers a place where they can learn and share.

•We sell yarns and thread for knitting, crochet and embroidery.

•We are setting up a fabrics section for clothing, accessories and patchwork

•We have notions such as buttons, ribbons, and trimmings.

•We also offer classes and workshops for knitting, sewing, hair pin lace, crochet and felting.

•You can sit and knit in the store anytime and it’s free if you work with yarn purchased in the store.

•You can rent sewing time on an hourly basis.

•We hold regular Stitch and Bitch every Friday night from 6:30PM to 9:30PM. We supply tea, coffee, juice and wine. Please bring food or you may contribute to our “Buy an Espresso Coffee Machine Fund”...
As we are located in Montreal, Quebec, please understand that our business is 80% Francophone. This explains why this web site is mainly in French.
